1978 Oscar de la Renta Velvet & Dotted Net Dress 1920s and Antique Item# DD941Even Oscar succumbed tot he eighties and made this little flirty dress with its tiered lace, asymmetrical skirt, that is perfectly eighties, but in the best possible way. It is quite beautiful and flirty and it is definitely a dress to go dancing in. Made of a mix of a light black stretch velvet and a black net with a deep burgundy dot worked through the net. Three layers of net sits over each other on an angled cut. I love how the edges of each layer
