1950s Mottled Grey Wool Dress with Pleated Drop Waist Skirt maxi-suit US 6 and perhaps aThis very early 1950s dress is by an unknown designer but very much has the Dior New Look about it. Tailored from a lightweight wool with a mottled grey finish, it has three quarter length sleeves and an elegant V neckline, detailed with two overlapping ties that are secured in place with a large plastic button. With a drop waist silhouette the skirt falls from below and is box pleated, kicking out around the wearer as they walk. The original,
